Introduction[]
A large tom walked under the singular tree in the clearing, moonlight bathing his pelt. He noticed a gingerish shecat in the distance.
"Ah Inkstar, you came" She mewed to the tom.
"Yea yea, what is this about? My mate is having kits soon and I want to be with them." Inkstar grunted
"Well, yesterday, a whole patrol of your cats came into our territory and killed Flamepaw, Turkeypaw, and Wolfpaw." The shecat answered, her tail swaying.
Inkstar stared for moment before responding "Well i'm sorry, apprentices can be a little too exicted at times. And they didn't even directly killed them! They played in a river, Foxstar. And Crowpaw died too, so it isn't just your cats!"
Foxstar flexed her claws, and hissed. Two larger cats came out from behind him. "Meet Rockscar and Roosterlake."
Inkstar retracted. The 2 large cats leaped at him. Foxstar watched until Inkstar fell still. He reanimated and she ordered Rockscar and Roosterlake to step aside.
"Why are you doing this?" Inkstar gasped, his fur being matted with blood.
"You've been ruining my life! Even since I was a little kit! You shall pay!" Foxstar slashed her claws across her throat and Inkstar let out a final, shallow breath. She waited a few minutes. "Guess he's not coming back" She hissed and padded away.
A ginger shecat curled up with kits in the safety of the nursery.
"Oh they're adorable, Snakeslither!" A grey shecat coo'ed. "What are there names?"
"Well, this one is Goatkit, this one is Rustkit, and this one is Bonekit!" Snakeslither responded. "I wonder where Inkstar is, he should see his perfect kits!"
Chapter 1[]
Shadows grew longer as the sun rose. Ruststar had scented a mouse. He followed scent of mouse until he found something...odd. There were millions of mice shouting the same thing "WAKE UP"
Ruststar woke, his heart pounding. He let out a sigh of relief to see it was just his sister, Goatfur.
"Mornin!" She mewed. "Did ya hear the news? Branch is only a few sunrises away from having kits!"
Ruststar let out a grumble. A few moons ago his brother, Boneshadow, had snuck away to meet a rouge. Now he invited her to the clan amd she was expecting her kits. "Wonderful. Just simply, wonderful." He snarled.
"Oh can you stop being a grump? Aren't you happy for Boneshadow? Or are you too busy being leader to care about your family?" Goatfur hissed, her tail lashing.
Ruststar sighed. He noticed Boneshadow had entered, his yellow and blue eyes burning. "Hey Boneshadow! Good job! You're having kits..hehe.."
The day progressed as normal. Patrols, giving orders, eating, kits asking him aboutbstuff, Boneshadow sneaking out. "Hey Boneshadow!" He shouted to his brother. "Where are you going?"
"Well i'm-"
"Boneshadow! Branch is kitting" Goatfur yelled
Chapter 2[]
"What are there names?" Asked Goatfur to Branch.
"This one is Spiderkit" She pointed to the black one. "This obe is Acornkit" She pointed to the brown one. "This one is Breezekit" she pointed to the white one. "And this one is...uh.... Flowerkit!" She pointed to the ginger one.
Ruststar didn't like this one bit. Rouge kits in this clan...his clan! And worse of all his brother is the reason they're here!
"Hey, Flowerkit looks just like you!" Boneshadow said as he inspected each newborn. "Breezekit is so big!"
Ruststar hissed and walked out of nursery. How dare he compare one of those little beasts to him!
Goatfyr quickly ran after. "Y'know you're quite a jerk."
"Well wouldn't you be upset too?" Ruststar responds.
"No?" Goatfur let out a sigh. "Whatever. Just try to be nicer to him, ok? It'll bite you later if you aren't."
Ruststar pads away from her, into his den.
As the moon rose high, Ruststar snores grew louder. He woke up as he heard pawsteps. He peeked out of his den to see Boneshadow sneaking out.
Chapter 3[]
Ferretkit snuck outside with all the older cats. His mother wants him to be asleep as soon as the moon came up, but the moon was high in the sky. A white cat walked into camp.
"Hey guys! I'll be able to join in a few moons when my kits are old enough to travel!" The white tom said.
Loud pawsteps came into range. Several cats burst through the enterance, causing chaos. Ferretkit ran into a bush to hide. Fur and blood was everywhere. A white shecat tackled Firebounce and started slapping him. A large ginger tom stared the white tom in the eyes. "What are you doing here, Boneshadow?"
Chapter 4[]
"What are you doing here, Boneshadow?" Ruststar asked him. Boneshadow retreated backwards.
"I came here because....I thought this clan would be better to raise my kits in." Boneshadow answered after a few moments of silence.
